Paul Bard:
As Principal of the firm, Paul has over 25 years experience and is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation. His years of experience have seen him practice predominantly in areas such as building and construction law, insolvency (corporate & individual), external administrations, personal administrations, insurance law (in relation to commercial claims), litigation involving debt recovery and securities enforcement as well as law relating to guarantors and mortgages in claims against or defending claims by financial institutions. As a member of the Law Society of NSW, Paul is a firm believer in maintaining an excellent standard of service to his clients as well as providing a satisfying work environment.

Jeffrey Chard:
Jeffrey is a Senior Associate who joined the firm in August 2000 and has over 20 years experience. Jeffrey is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation. He obtained his law degree in 1986 from the New South Wales Institute of Technology (now known as the University of Technology Sydney) after initially graduating in Electrical Engineering in 1980. His principal practice is in corporate, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, acting for both debtor and creditor clients as well as a number of trustees, liquidators and administrators. His interests include engineering and construction law, intellectual property, technology and general commercial litigation.

Tim Bottrell:
Tim is a Senior Associate who graduated from Sydney University with an LLB and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 1983. He joined the firm in January 2002 and his experience includes general commercial litigation and commercial transactional work, particularly matters involving property dealings and complex financing arrangements. Since joining the firm, the majority of Tim's work has involved the conduct of commercial litigation particularly in relation to property development, leasing, marketing and financing. Tim's wealth of experience in commercial and property transactional work provides an ideal base for managing property and securities enforcement litigation.

Ewa Sarolis:
Ewa joined the firm in 2007 as a Senior Solicitor with over 20 years experience. Her predominant area of practice for many years was insurance litigation and she is part of our Commercial Litigation team. Ewa has a legal consulting background providing legal, business and practical advice to businesses and law firms. Immediately prior to joining the firm she practised in the area of estate planning, providing advice and expertise in restructuring and drafting of complex wills and other documents.

Mary-Ellen Bard:
Mary-Ellen has an LLM specialising in Trade Practices Law and joined the firm in 2004 as a Solicitor with over 25 years experience. Before joining the firm Mary-Ellen specialised in insurance litigation and is part of our Commercial Litigation team, focusing on building and property disputes. She became a solicitor to assist in providing just outcomes in disputed matters and was appointed an Acting Judge of the District Court of NSW for three years in July 1997. Mary-Ellen has also been an Arbitrator for the Supreme and District Courts.
