Lily Zhang

Lily followed a life of service as a professional nurse until branching out into legal studies and achieving her Practising Certificate before joining us in March 2020. She enjoys the litigation process and has fitted into the firm very well, assisting Jeffrey and Tim in their matters.

Lily is fluent in Mandarin and is a great asset to our client base.

Experience

  • Acting for liquidators in relation to recovery of unfair preferential payments to creditors including initiating public examinations.
  • Acting for clients in building and construction disputes and security for costs actions.
  • Acting for creditors in winding up applications to recover debts .
  • Acting for debtors in respect of Statutory Demands arising from Judgment debts, which ultimately result in setting aside the Statutory demand.
  • Acting for clients on a number of mediations and settlement conferences both in person and via zoom as part of the dispute resolution process undertaken in Supreme Court Proceedings including the successful settlement of those proceedings with favourable outcomes for clients.
  • Acting for clients in respect of commercial lease disputes, particularly concerning the obligations of lessees and lessors under the National Code of Conduct and the Retail and Other Commercial Leases (COVID-19) Regulation 2020 and 2021 with Judgment in the client’s favour.
  • Acting for property developers in relation to various call options and development agreements and proceedings in the Supreme Court.
  • Acting for clients in respect of shareholder disputes and court proceedings in the Supreme Court, which ultimately result in a successful outcome following a trial.
  • Acting for a client involved in ICAC hearings.
  • Acting for clients for the hearings in the NCAT, Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court.
  • Acting for a client for a special leave application in the High Court.
